movin up to the “big city”

Bret & coral and Coral’s son- isaac. next time i see them it’ll be in the temple..i know it ūüôā

welp, after almost 6 months in the heavenly land of Grace, im gettin transferred to the “big city”..Pocatello. I kinda felt it comin..but it was weird actually receiving the news. But i am so excited! i will be serving with Hermana Vargas, who i LOVE. i truly have been blessed with my companions so far. Together we will be covering A SPANISH BRANCH! finally…i am so excited. and then i think we will have an english ward too…we’ll see. but yep. theres the big news. Im so thankful that i have had the opportunity to serve in Grace. It truly has changed my life…between the people that i have met and the experiences that ive had, my testimony has been strengthened like no other. i look forward to next year when i can come back to grace and see all these people again!!

Highlights of this week: For english class, we taught everyone how to say a prayer in english. it was the sweetest thing ive ever heard. It was so funny, they had the hardest time pronouncing “thee”, haha if you can just picture it in your head. ah, they are so precious.
Then last night we had planned to have a lesson with Isidro in a members home, the Jorgensens. so were sitting there waiting..and its been like 20 minutes and still nothin. and then finally we see a car comin down the street and it was Isidro, Israel, Jesus, AND victor. it was a beautiful sight. And the lesson went so well. all 4 of them are married with children, so we taught about temples and eternal families. You could tell that it was meaningful for them…And meaningful for us too.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the urgency of this work. We truly are in the last days! and the work truly is hastening…We were all sent to be on the earth at this specific time. The Lord trusts us, individually, to prepare His children for the 2nd coming of His son. Its a big responsibility, but its also a privilege and honor. I read this scripture this morning during my studies. Alma 16-

¬†16¬†And there was¬†no¬†inequality among them; the Lord did pour out his Spirit on all the face of the land to prepare the minds of the children of men, or to prepare their¬†hearts¬†to receive the word which should be taught among them at the time of his coming‚ÄĒ

17 That they might not be hardened against the word, that they might not be unbelieving, and go on to destruction, but that they might receive the word with joy, and as abranch be grafted into the true vine, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord their God.

Thats a pretty sweet promise if you ask me. Makes missionary work seem less scary..the Lord is going to pour out his spirit so that his children can receive this message with joy.

Love you all! thanks always for the love and prayers. i feel em everyday.
