goodness gracious, time is aflyin. hit the big half way mark this past week. shoutout to momma brown for the massive package to celebrate the day. wouldnt expect anything less from ya.
So a lot went down this week… So at the beginning of the week we go see Maria and the first thing she tells us is “we picked a date! we’re getting married on the 26th!” Sister Fermoso and i flipped, we were so happy. Then the next day, she told us that she didnt feel good about it..and that she’s not sure that their relationship is healthy enough for marriage. THEN saturday night, we took her to our zone leaders baptism. And it was amazing…two sisters..similar to Maria’s age. The chapel was packed and at the end they both bore powerful testimonies. maria loved it. And before the end of the night she told us that she’s been praying a lot and she thinks she’s received an answer from God that if she gets married everything will work out with her and her husband. SO YEAH. slightly bipolar…the whole situation. But we’re happy that they’ve been counseling the Lord about it. so we shall see.

Last night was soooo awesome. So all us missionaries in pokey put on a fireside for the whole region. It was a musical fireside all centered on the life of Christ. There was a hugeee turn out and all the songs were amazing. Most of them were sung by us missionaries, and then a few were done by other members. The Spirit in that meeting was incredible. Literally like vibrated throughout the building. Everyone was in tears as we went through every song..testifying of Jesus Christ. Guess it kinda just hit me hard about how blessed we are to have the perfect example of Jesus Christ in our lives. And to be able to look to Him as our brother, Savior, and Redeemer. I know that it truly is only in and through Christ that we can find eternal peace and happiness. There’s so many things in this world that give us temporary happiness…but if you’re looking for eternal joy, the gospel is the answer.
its a privilege to be apart of this work. Serving in Pokey is tough..I think im immune and numb to the pain of a door being slammed in my face. haha its chill. Just more of a testament that this is the true church and satan is doing all he can to stop it from going forth. BUT, the work of the Lord will always win. be apart of it. share it.
love you alllll
so we visit this less active lady, Her name is Doris & she’s from the philipines. We have to call her “nainai” which is mom in tagalog..and she calls us by our first names because we’re her “daughters”. this pic explains her
