holy moly hispanics really do love to party…this whole week we went crazy inviting people to the Posada. We ended up having 7 of our investigators there, which was a miiiiracleeee. People that have been avoiding us for months showed up! the power of tamales and a dance party….

Last week this new family showed up to the branch out of nowhere! Antonio and his girlfriend Angel, and then they have 3 kids together. (yes girlfriend…not wife….but we can fix that) They just moved here from Texas! Antonio is a member, but Angel isnt. and none of their kids have been baptized. They were at church last week, came to the Posada, and came to church again yesterday! we stopped by and officially met them and they are the sweetest. Angel told us that she’s never been a really religious person, but if its what her husband wants, she will do it too. We are going to start teaching her and her cute little kids the lessons and we are soooo excited!
Serving here in pokey has been tough..It’s known as the area with the least amount of hispanics in the mission. So Angel and her family were a real answer to a prayer.

Jose Luis and his allstar fellowshippers

Jose Luis and his allstar fellowshippers

JOSE LUIS, i almost forgot! so on tuesday night we had another lesson with him, and we taught the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. it was a powerful lesson…the spirit was so strong. Here’s the crazy part though, so Alex and Justin are these two RMs that have been coming to all of his lessons and fellowshipping him…so at the end of the lesson Jose Luis says to them “This is a huge favor to ask…but can you guys do something for me?” …..ends up asking Alex and Justin if they would be willing to drive to Boise (like 4.5 hour drive) to talk to his girlfriend, to convince her to stay with him and tell him how much he’s changed…So the rms, obviously still very much so on their post mission “high”, agree to do it…And on saturday night they drove through the night to Boise, tried tracking down his gf,  found her, she wouldnt open the door to talk to them, they tracked down the spanish elders in Boise, and long story short now the missionaries there are going to start teaching Jose’s girlfriend & their kids. Dedicated fellowshippers right there…hahaha the members here are seriously amazing. pic attached.

I love love loved the christmas devotional last night. As a mission we are really using the new “A Savior is Born” video ( https://www.mormon.org/christmas <— check it. ) as a tool in the work. The christmas season truly is a time when hearts are softened…The world comes together to celebrate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ. PERFECT opportunity to bring up the gospel and share it with someone 🙂
Im so grateful for each of you and your support, love and prayers. Know im sendin the same right back atcha.
