our little english class is growing!!

happy belated easterzzz to all!

It was a special easter for me…Just like Christmas last year. Im grateful for holidays on the mish…you get to take a step back from all the festivities and celebrations and focus on why you have the holiday in the first place. That was fasho the case for easter this year. (cause latinos aint really about that easter egg hunt life) Saturday evening Hermana Playas (the relief society pres) asked us if we could give the lesson on sunday because the sister that was goinggg to give it got sick… of course as missionaries you gotta say yes. And not gonna lie! afterwards i murmured a little bit about the late notice and all that stuff….but in the end i was so grateful for it. The topic of the lesson was Elder Oaks talk from last conference- “strengthened by the atonement of Jesus Christ.” Giving that lesson brought the true meaning of the Easter season into our day. Im grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and His life and example…Thanks to Him, we too can conquer the grave and live again.
This week we taught Marta about temples, eternal marriage and family history. It was such a good lesson. (as are all lessons with her) She expressed that that was what first stood out to her about our church..How we value our families and our relationships. Guess its kinda one of those things we take for granted as life long members!  I cant say enough about how amazing it is to see Marta’s progression though…In sunday school yesterday she was just commenting it up and she even said the closing prayer in front of anyone. she’s awesome. i love her and cannot waaaait for april 9th.
best part of the week- hahahaha so we eat with random english wards during the week…and then on the weekends we eat with the branch, right? So tuesday night we ate with this family..and we were notified that bigfoot lives in idaho…actually multiple bigfeet(?) live in idaho…and they’re very spiritual creatures…and if you talk to them, you’ll find that they, too, know of the Plan of Salvation. This lady also has written 2 books about sightings…and has “real” footprints. we saw them. hahaha man…white people.
Guess i’ll end with something more spiritual and doctrinally correct… This has been my go-to/fav scripture this week. Moroni 7:41
41 And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.
The church is true. Love you all!
